Road or Lane Status
Front Street between St. Clair Street and Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, St. Mary Parish, Road Closure

Front Street between St. Clair Street and the eastbound lane of Brashear Avenue will be closed to through traffic beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, and ending 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, weather permitting.

Additionally, Brashear Avenue westbound from First Street to Front Street will be closed to through traffic during this timeframe.

This closure is necessary for crews to blast the structural steel and construct the new deck on the deck truss span of the LA 182 bridge over the Atchafalaya River.

The road will be open to local traffic only from St. Clair Street to north of the westbound lane of Brashear Avenue. Also, a one-way exit for traffic leaving Rio Fuel & Gaubert Oil will be allowed.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to through the entire area.

Detour route will consist of St. Clair Street, First Street, Brashear Avenue eastbound and Freret Street.

Our 🚑EMT🚑 Class is returning THIS SUMMER!!

📣DETAILS📣

📚Class duration: 18 weeks, starting May 28 and ending July 31. Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30a-5:30p at FETA in Baton Rouge (6868 Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70820)
🗓️Orientation: Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 6p at FETA in Baton Rouge (6868 Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70820)
⚕️Pre-Reqs: Students must have a Healthcare Provider CPR Card (American Heart or Red Cross). A CPR class will be available Wed., May 22 @ 6p at FETA (Cost $50)
🥾Attire: A uniform is required. Blue Pants (BDU or Uniform Blue Pants accepted), black belt, and 6-inch black combat boots are required. Uniform shirts will be ordered the first night of class. Cost is $26-30 based on size.
