WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 4.18.24:

This is a brief Decision Support Packet concerning increasing rain chances for this weekend. Given last week's heavy rain and ongoing river flooding, there may be some concerns about the impacts of any additional rainfall across the area.

The good news is that rain this weekend should not pose any additional problems on area rivers. However, there is the possibility that some storms could produce heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding. Our office will be monitoring this situation as it evolves, and will provide updates should conditions warrant.
