Press Release (Media/Web) DOTD Announces Start of $2.3M Construction Project on LA 87 in St. Mary Parish

ST. MARY PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) announces that beginning Monday, April 29, 2024 work will begin on a $2,294,422.48 project on LA 87 from LA 322 to Centerville Bridge Rd. in St. Mary Parish.

Work will consist of milling asphalt pavement, asphalt surface treatment, asphalt concrete overlay and related work.

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures are expected throughout the project. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area, but may encounter delays.

This project is estimated for completion in June 2024.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
