2026 ST MARY PARISH HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE
The purpose of Tuesday’s meeting was to provide a high level overview of what hazard mitigation is, why it is important to St. Mary Parish, and what we’re trying to accomplish through this plan update process. If you’d like to review the slides presented, they can be accessed at your parish page on our (SDMI) hazard mitigation website: https://hmplans.lsu.edu/plans/st-mary . Also on the site is access to the public opinion survey, which allows residents and stakeholders to share their perspectives on local hazards and community priorities.
