WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 7.27.26

Good morning,

Here is the latest on the potential for hazardous heat this week.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for today (Monday) for portions of east central and south-central Louisiana.

There is the potential for the oppressive and hazardous heat to increase and spread to the remainder of the area through the middle part of the week. A slight change in the pattern will bring the possibility or less oppressive heat and a chance of rain toward the end of the week into the weekend.
