UPDATE FROM US NWS NEW ORLEANS/BATON ROUGE 4 AM 7.21.26

No changes were made to the Tropical Storm Watches / Warnings nor the Storm Surge watch or values.

Even though Bertha is forecast to reach a peak intensity of 60 mph later today the increase in shear overnight tonight and tomorrow is expected to slowly weaken it after it reaches that peak intensity. Because of that and greater confidence in the heaviest rain remaining well to the south and southwest the Threat Impact levels have slightly decreased for wind and inland flooding. These could still chance as it will be highly dependent on track and intensity as Bertha makes landfall.
