UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 9.17.26

Here are the latest updated forecast graphics from the midnight crew:
- An upper high will be building in limiting rain chances through the weekend.
- Some drier air at the surface will move in today and will allow for less humid conditions and more comfortable lows into Saturday.
- Low level moisture will return early next week with more humid conditions returning. Rain chances will increase some, however, the strength and eventual movement of a rather strong upper-level low will tell just how much rain chances will increase.
- For the marine interests, elevated easterly winds and seas will continue today with a Small Craft Advisory in effect.
