UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 9.23.26

Good morning all! One more hot and humid day for today, with highs in the mid to upper 90s area-wide. A shower or two will

be possible near the coast, but most areas stay dry. A weak surface frontal boundary will move through Wednesday evening,

bringing drier and slightly cooler air that will hang around through the weekend and into early next week. While afternoon

highs will still be in the low 90s, the drier air will result in more comfortable heat index values than we’ve seen the past several

days. Rain chances will be near zero across the area through the weekend.
