UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 9.30.26

Another warm and largely dry day expected across the region today. There will be a couple of small storms around, but these shouldn’t amount to much. Scattered showers and thunderstorms expected tomorrow with precipitation chances expected to increase significantly Friday through the weekend. Rainfall totals of 2-4 inches are expected over the three day period. The cold front responsible will eventually push through the area Monday bringing more fall like temperatures next week.
