UPDATE FOR US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 10.21.26

NWS – Lake Charles – Chanelle Stigger [6:00 AM]
Albeit it a touch warmer, conditions will be drier. This will help to clear skies just in time for the peak of the Orionid meteor shower early tomorrow morning, so ready your telescopes!

With the moon expected to be around 80 to 90% illuminated, the best viewing hours will be just before sunrise, generally between 4 AM and sunrise, when the moon is below the horizon.
