WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 7.13.26

Good morning.

Thunderstorms are already moving onshore this morning with areas of convection anticipated through much of today. A lull in the activity is anticipated tonight before more storms develop again early Tuesday. On average, 1 to 3.5 inches of rain are anticipated today through Tuesday, however the reasonably highest amounts are between 2 and 6 inches. There is a slight risk of excessive rain area wide today and for a portion of the area again Tuesday. Rain chances will decrease Wednesday through the end of the week.
