UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 10.5.26

Good morning all!
A few drizzly showers will be possible again today as the frontal boundary from this weekend remains nearby.
No worries, a reinforcing “cool” front should wash through the region tomorrow bringing much drier air to the region.
While it’s still going to warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s through at least Thursday, because it’s a relatively dry
airmass, the shade spots and evenings will be VERY pleasant.
Also of note, we are monitoring an area of low pressure starting to take shape in the southwest Gulf. This feature could
slowly organize in the coming days as it meanders east and then north later this week. Another weather system should
scoop the low northward over the weekend. Regardless of its development, an increase in rain chances may spread
into southeast Texas or south Louisiana starting Friday.
Keep your eyes out for the forecast as we move through this week! In the meantime, enjoy your taste of fall!
