UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 10.9.26

Good morning,

Attached is the latest information regarding Hurricane Isaias and its impacts to the west Gulf.

• Hurricane Isaias is rapidly strengthening in the northeast Gulf this morning. Isaias will move inland near the AL/FL line late tonight before slowly moving north on Saturday.
• Expect breezy to occasionally gusty northeast winds today and Saturday as Isaias moves inland. Humidity will also fall again today through the weekend with the constant dry north fetch.
• These elevated winds combined with very low humidity will increase Fire Danger during the afternoons and evenings through Saturday. 
• Burning is highly discouraged and any fire has the potential to exhibit extreme fire behavior and get out of control.
