WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 6.11.26

Hot & dry conditions to persist through Saturday, with low chances for afternoon showers and storms until then. Just an interesting observation.. BPT was on degree away from hitting a record daily minimum warmest temperature.  While we might not hit any warmest max or min temps, most of the forecast area will be flirting within 2 to 7 degrees of those record values.

Next week, a surge of tropical moisture will interact with a front to bring heavy rain and a flash flood threat.
