WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 6.10.26

Good morning,

Hot conditions are on the way with afternoon highs in the low to mid-90s. The heat index will be more of a concern with temperatures feeling like they are well into the triple digits!
Make sure to stay safe in the heat by taking plenty of breaks and drinking water.

The NHC has highlighted an area in the Gulf for potential tropical development. Thankfully chances are low for development (10%) and no impacts are expected for our area at this time. As new information comes out we will keep you updated!
