UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES SLACK CHANNEL 8.14.26

Good morning everyone! More of the same hot and dry weather is expected into early next week, with little day to day changes expected.

Today, a Heat Advisory is in effect from 11AM through 7PM for parts of central and south-central LA. Elsewhere, heat indices will reach

into the mid 100s but are not quite expected to reach heat advisory criteria today.
