UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 8.25.26

Good morning,

We are still looking at hot and mostly dry conditions across the region, with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s for the rest of the week. Overall conditions will remain dry but this Thursday and Friday, rain chances increase, and we have a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 4) for flash flooding as a front stalls across the region. The flooding threat will be localized, as widespread rainfall amounts are forecast to be between 0.5 to 1.5 inches. Keep an eye on the forecast as we provide updates!
